Publica has released a short promotional video setting out the company’s unique vision for the future.
The video features Managing Director, David Neudegg, who outlines that the company – jointly owned by Cotswold, Forest of Dean, West Oxfordshire and Cheltenham Councils – is breaking new ground because of the sheer breadth of its collaborative working and the range of services that it offers. Sharing services and joint working are commonplace across many local authorities, but bringing four authorities together to undertake commissioning, policy advice, financial management and direct service delivery represents a significant step change.
Mr Neudegg explains that combining resources within Publica means that the company can invest in advanced digital technologies that will deliver visibly better services to customers at any time or in any place. Embracing the most advanced ways of working will also enable significant improvements in how the partner authorities will interact with the public.
The video succinctly describes Publica’s modern approach to a variety of audiences, including: other interested parties in the public sector, potential employees, and other stakeholders such as councillors across each of the partnership councils. The company will be using the video in a number of settings to build understanding and engagement opportunities.
David Neudegg comments:
“The world has changed and local services need to change too. At Publica we set out to be modern in our approach; this is part of what makes us unique, and means we need to think carefully about how we explain the plans we have for delivering our vision. Producing a video to showcase the authenticity of our approach to local government was the obvious solution and I’m delighted with the result - and very proud to be sharing it across social networks today.”
