You will be supporting Cotswold District Council’s projects aimed at enabling a safe and successful reopening of the local town centres and high streets.  You will be working with our Economic Development Lead to help support the future success of the local businesses, enabling them to access training and support, including to help them adjust to an increasingly digital environment. As well as supporting individual businesses, you’ll be assessing the health of each of our town centres to help lay the groundwork for their future evolution.

About the role…

You will be supporting and assessing the health of the District’s high streets through;

  • Assisting with the creation of the new database helping track the health of our town centres
  • Supporting local businesses to access the support they need
  • Provide overall support to the projects relating to the safe reopening of the District’s high streets liaising across many teams within the Council and external stakeholders.

This is a new placement role covering the Cotswolds, famous for quintessentially English market towns and villages built from honey-coloured stone. With a range of gently rolling hills and the largest area of outstanding natural beauty in England you’d struggle to find a more attractive place to work.  With our agile working ethos: you will be spoilt for choice.

You will need…

  • To be working towards or achieved in the last 18 months a degree in a relevant subject related to Business, Marketing or Economics etc.
  • Excellent communications and administrative skills
