You will be part of a team of 3 Client Support Officers and work closely with the Benefits, Council Tax and Housing Teams.
About the role…
We are looking for a Client Support Officer to be based in West Oxfordshire. You will mostly be remote working, which is a great benefit allowing you extra flexibility. You will make a real and lasting difference to some of the more vulnerable residents within our communities and support Publica’s role in safeguarding.
You will help to make a real and lasting difference specifically:
- Helping residents to mitigate the financial impact of welfare reform
- To help sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness
- To assist with and assess Discretionary Housing Payment applications
- To support Publica and the Councils’ role in Safeguarding.
This is a replacement role, which will cover West Oxfordshire. Within the District, there are plenty of places to see and visit whether you love hiking or cycling. With our agile working ethos: you will be spoilt for choice.
You will need…
- GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills
- Experience of dealing with challenging situations involving members of the public
In addition, if you have Housing or Housing Benefit knowledge that would be great!
- Ability to travel
